The UNSW Faculty of Law requested a suite of Eventbrite banners, website banners, monitor screens and social media tiles for their 2019 Legal Education Research conference.

The challenge: to design within the confines of UNSW branding while at the same time conveying the “subversive” nature of the conference subject.

A feeling of off-centredness was created by slightly subverting the design consistency of type and colour. The X motif, itself a signifier of learning incorrectness, was intentionally given texture to evoke not only graffiti but also to subvert the clinical aspirations of teaching and law together.
